Funcom is a Norwegian video game development and publishing company and the developers of The Secret World.

Funcom was founded in 1993 by Erik Gloersen, Ian Neil, Andre Backen, Gaute Godager and Olav Mørkrid. Funcom is best known for the online games Age of Conan and Anarchy Online, as well as the adventure game series The Longest Journey.
Funcom has headquarters in Oslo, Norway and offices in Canada, China, Switzerland and the United States. They currently have 300+ staff members and are one of the leading European independent game studios.
