Clothing
From The Secret World Wiki
Clothing is worn by players for cosmetic effect, it does not have any influence on statistics.[1][2] Players get clothing from completing missions, purchasing in stores, completing skill wheel templates, completing achievements, and out of game events such as The Secret War.[3]
In PvP, players are required to wear a uniform that will make their faction association and general build design easily recognizable.[4][5]

[edit] Purchased Clothing
As of the first open beta weekend, May 10, 2012, players can purchase clothing from Pangaea in London. There are 4 vendors in the Pangaea hub: male chest and back, male legs and shoes, female chests and coats, and female legs and shoes.
Items can be previewed before purchase. Once purchased, the item goes into the Dressing Room.
